Start by reading an English newspaper on a daily basis. You can also try English story books. And most importantly, start conversing with everyone in English and make use of what you've read. Constant practice is the key.

Read, read and read. Reading and writing are the obverse sides of the same coin. The more you read, the more you can write and speaking would get even better. Start with short stories and short novels. I suggest the novel Animal Farm if you wish to give it a try. Hope it helps.
