Common mistakes to be avoided in JEE preparation

Dedication and hard work is the key to success for every student who wishes to pursue a career in any field they desire. Be it engineering from any institute in our country, the IIT s are known to be world famous and their repute can t be compared with any other colleges in India or with other universities abroad. But the dream of being a part of this pioneering institute is half-lived for many because of some of these shortcomings.

JEE exam is one of the most challenging and difficult exams that a student attempts after passing 12th standard. Usually, students go through rigorous coaching for IIT-JEE preparation to qualify the exam with good score but sometimes some minor mistakes clinch that opportunity from them and they face a strong set back in the beginning of their professional qualification journey. We have here mentioned some of the most common mistakes that students might commit in the JEE exam Qualification process, and hence should be avoided at any given point in time while appearing for it. Lack of Professional Guidance: It is always good to believe in oneself and be confident about the exam one is appearing. But most students usually become overconfident and relying on only some reference books, sample tests, and self-study material. This is the most common mistake made by the students because JEE needs rigorous coaching and months of professional guidance to be able to crack the exam. It is advised that students take a crash course or join coaching classes for JEE mains preparation as professional training and guidance is a must along with self-preparation. Not focusing on the syllabus: When students plan to prepare for JEE mains, the only compass that can lead them to their goal is the official JEE syllabus book. Students are often misled by other sample tests and reference books which are just there to complicate the actual syllabus and hence confusing them on how to prepare for JEE Mains. Students should choose reference books smartly, and only refer to those that are close to their syllabus. Lack of Practice: Be it any exam never do the mistake of not practising sample test papers and leaving them unsolved. Test papers help in exposing the mistakes one can make and adds value to the preparation for the exam. So, always work hard to solve every paper before appearing for the exam. Always remember that only practice can make one perfect. There are no shortcuts to this. These are some of the common mistakes that need to be avoided so that every student's hard work brings the right result. Do you have any suggestions or doubts? Share that with us!
