It happens like a viva voice. One or 2 board mbers will be there, they will question you to sing particular raga and will focus more on varnams, swara jathi and panchartana keerthanas. You may be asked to sing particular point of panchartana keerthanas.

Depends on the institute... Generally external come to take examination n ask students to sing any raag.. And also ask about taal, and raag parichai from syllabus
