Subhash Chander Verma - Not yet professional tutor but have passion for assisting learning

I am Subhash Chander Verma, a retired doctor who served in government medical services and have considerable experience in teaching, guiding, and supporting students alongside my professional medical career. I teach MBBS students across all subjects and also guide B.Sc. students in Zoology. Although I am not a full-time professional tutor, teaching and academic guidance have been an important part of my professional journey, and I continue to enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with young learners.

I completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Sambalpur University in 1979, followed by my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from Sambalpur University in 1984. My medical education and years of professional service have given me a strong foundation in medical sciences and practical knowledge. My experience as a doctor has also allowed me to understand how theoretical concepts connect with practical situations in healthcare and professional life.

Along with my medical qualifications, I have pursued education in several other areas. I completed my Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from DAVV, Indore, in 1996, with a specialization in Management Information Systems (MIS). I later completed a Diploma in Web Designing and Application from ACTS, CDAC, in 2004 and a Certificate Program in Business Analytics from Manipal ProLearn in 2015. These additional qualifications have broadened my knowledge beyond medicine and helped me develop an understanding of management, technology, data processing, and analytical concepts.

Throughout my years in government medical service, I had opportunities to teach, guide, and support students and budding professionals. These experiences strengthened my interest in education and encouraged me to continue helping students even after retirement. I believe that the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years can be useful to students who are looking for clear explanations, practical understanding, and guidance from someone with professional experience in the medical field.

My teaching approach is based on questions and answers, conceptual understanding, and learning at the student's own pace. I do not believe that students should depend only on memorisation to understand a subject. I focus on simplifying difficult topics, summarising important information, and explaining concepts in a way that makes them easier to understand and retain. I particularly enjoy working with students who want to understand the reasoning behind a topic rather than simply memorising facts.

I conduct my classes online and use PowerPoint presentations and a whiteboard to support my explanations. These tools help me organise information and explain important concepts in a structured manner. I encourage students to ask questions freely and discuss topics during the session. By understanding their doubts and areas of difficulty, I can focus on the concepts that require greater attention and guide them according to their individual learning pace.

At this stage of my life, my primary motivation for teaching is to share my knowledge and experience and contribute to the learning and development of young professionals. I see teaching as an opportunity to give back to society and help students make better use of their academic years. My aim is to provide patient, practical, and concept-focused guidance to MBBS and B.Sc. Zoology students while drawing upon my medical education, professional experience, and years of academic interaction.
