Carnatic music has been an integral part of my life for more than 15 years, and my journey as a student, performer, researcher, and teacher continues to inspire me every day. I strongly believe that music is not just about learning compositions; it is about developing creativity, discipline, confidence, and a deep appreciation for art.

For the past 6 years, I have been teaching Carnatic vocal music to students of different age groups and skill levels. I focus on building a strong foundation in shruti, laya, voice culture, raga understanding, kritis, bhajans, and manodharma. I am particularly passionate about teaching Carnatic music theory and helping students understand the concepts behind what they sing, enabling them to become knowledgeable and independent musicians.

Rhythm is one of my areas of special interest. I enjoy teaching different talas and developing students' tala knowledge through practical and interactive methods. I believe that a strong understanding of laya and tala plays a vital role in shaping a complete musician.

Alongside my vocal training, I am also learning Veena under the guidance of Dr. Nistala Krishnaveni, A-Grade Artiste of All India Radio. Learning both vocal and instrumental music allows me to gain a broader perspective on Carnatic music and enriches my teaching approach.

Academically, I secured the top rank in M.A. Carnatic Music at Andhra University. I have completed my Ph.D. submission in Music and am currently awaiting the final result. My research experience helps me explore music in greater depth and share that knowledge with my students in a simple and meaningful way.

I have a keen interest in identifying ragas, exploring their unique characteristics, and creating musical sound elements through creative experimentation. I constantly strive to expand my knowledge and stay connected to both the traditional and evolving aspects of music.

As a teacher, I approach every class with the mindset of an artiste. I encourage students not only to learn music correctly but also to perform with confidence, expression, and understanding. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can grow technically, intellectually, and artistically while experiencing the true beauty of Carnatic music.
