Dushyant Rupolia

I have been teaching vocal classical music for over 10 years, and my passion lies in helping students build a strong, refined, and expressive voice. My training focuses on Hindustani Classical, Semi-classical, Light, and Popular vocals. Along with vocal expertise, I also have a solid command over Tabla and Harmonium, which I integrate into my sessions to deepen students’ understanding of rhythm, melody, and musicality.

I completed my M.A. (Music) from a Central University in Sagar, where I secured a Gold Medal, and I am also NET-qualified. These academic achievements strengthened my foundation in classical music and helped me develop a structured and analytical approach to teaching. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Music, which continues to enhance my knowledge and perspective as both an educator and performer.

My professional journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor for six years at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat. These years of academic teaching broadened my outlook and taught me how to adapt musical concepts for learners with different abilities, interests, and backgrounds. I also had the opportunity to gain two years of international teaching experience in the Maldives, under the High Commission of India, which enriched my teaching style and global understanding of music education.

My classes are flexible and offered both online and offline, depending on the student’s convenience. I design my lessons to be holistic and immersive, combining theory, voice culture, vocal exercises, raga development, improvisation, and performance skills. Whether a student is a beginner or an advanced learner, I ensure the training is systematic and aligned with their musical goals.

One of the unique experiences in my musical journey was participating in The Voice India Season 1, where I successfully cleared the blind auditions and became a part of Team Mika. Even though I was later eliminated in the battle rounds, the exposure, training, and feedback I received motivated me to strengthen my classical roots even further. That experience shaped my confidence and helped me evolve as a performer and teacher.

My aim is to help students not only sing well but also understand the emotional depth, discipline, and beauty of classical music. I believe in nurturing each student's individuality while building a strong classical base that stays with them throughout their musical journey. Through consistent practice, guided learning, and a supportive environment, I help students discover their true potential in music.

I remain committed to continuous learning and excellence, and I strive to provide every student with music training that is empowering, technically rich, and creatively fulfilling.
