I completed my Masters in Biotechnology from the reputed Mahatma Gandhi University , Kerala.Simultaneously, I cleared GATE entrance in the same year. I entered the field of research soon after and is currently part of a cancer research center .
However teaching has always been my passion. I feel that as a student ,the understanding of the complex processes at the cellular and molecular levels remains rudimentary unless backed by practical experience. In the vast majority of colleges , the practical labs are pretty basic and are unable to expose the students to, or give them hands on training in the field of cellular experimentation.
The abstract knowledge at the molecular level can be developed into a complete understanding only with the help of someone with years of practical knowledge in the field. Even a tricky experiment of gene profiling becomes a matter of in-built understanding if the complexity can be broken down to the level of young budding scientific minds.
