I am Anil Balan, a singer, music composer, and dedicated music educator with a deep-rooted passion for music. For the past 21 years, I have been serving as the Head of the Department of Music at Sharjah Indian School, UAE.
My musical journey began with a strong foundation in Carnatic classical music, which I have learned under the guidance of several distinguished gurus, including Sri Thrissur P. Radhakrishnan, Sri Mangad Natesan, and Sri Palakkad Mohana Krishnan. I am a Ganabhooshanam holder from Chembai Memorial Government Music College, Palakkad.
A significant milestone in my musical career was being selected as an All India Radio winner at the All India level in 1986.I am fortunate to have been a disciple of the renowned musician and composer Sri Ramesh Narayan. I also had the valuable opportunity to assist him in the Malayalam film Maghrib.
Alongside teaching and performing, I have been actively involved in music composition and album production and have had the opportunity to work with amazing play back singers like
P Jayachandran , Madhu Balakrishnan, Manjary and many more.
With more than three decades of experience in music education, my greatest satisfaction comes from sharing my knowledge with students .
