Roshan Baliga

I have completed my PhD. in synthetic organic chemistry from the Uni. of Georgia, Athens, USA with specialization in carbohydrate chemistry. During the course of my research I worked on novel methods to synthesize biologically active sugar molecules and applied the same to synthesize carbohydrate molecules present in the plant cell wall. I received my PhD. in December 2013, after which I returned to India and joined a fine chemical manufacturing unit in Pondicherry.
In my current company, where I have worked for close to 5 years, we specialize in the bulk manufacture of chemicals used in the food flavor industry.I am the Head of Operations and I am in charge of product development, production planning and quality assurance.
I am passionate about chemistry and I am confident I will be able to teach the subject with alacrity and passion. I have extensive research experience and have taught organic chemistry lab to undergraduates at University of Georgia for 1 year as part of my graduate studies.
I am fluent in English and can communicate and express my ideas in a lucid and articulate manner.
