Hi!

The CLAT exam is one that tests your actual knowledge less, and focuses more on your aptitude and ability to function under high pressure. The best way to go about your CLAT prep is to systematically highlight your strengths and weaknesses and prioritize your preparation accordingly. For example, if you're weaker at GK and better at English, you'd want to focus on GK and leave English for when you do mocks.

Do get in touch if you're interested in a crash course or in coaching for CLAT. I cleared it in 2014 with an All-India Rank of 18, and have been teaching students to clear the exam ever since.

you can clear exam just dont give up your postive attitude .

The answer really depends what are you doing at present. If you are appearing for your 12th class exams then you should really prioritize them, but on the same side prepare a timetable that allows you to spare at least 2 hours for your clat exam. On the other hand, if you are dropping a year then you should study at least 7–8 hours in order to get a good rank.

It all depends your affection and willingness to succeed. If you have a big target and even bigger dream nothing can stop you. So work hard and keep faith in yourself.

As for the syllabus, you should divide strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly. Should put a greater stress on Mathematics, G.K., important supreme court verdicts, case laws, English,  (Logical, Legal and Analytical) reasoning.

we have launched a live digital class fast track course and spped test you can opt for this also.

So good luck!!!

Previous year question papers giv idea how the level of questions are asked in paper .Practise the previous years’ papers. Extremely important. Particularly in legal aptitude.

Practise as many mocks as possible.

Mocks are very helpful as it gives you practise and also helps you identify your strengths and weaknessees. There is a good chance that some question which you had done in a mock will be there in the actual CLAT when you appear for it. So analyse them properly and take them seriously. One should atleast take one mock every week in the beginning and one mock every 2–3 days in the last 2 months.

Lets analyse the difference between Clat and LSAT first

LSAT India is an exam for as many as 80 law colleges of India, while CLAT offers admissions in a total of 17 National Law Universities (NLUs). Moreover, LSAT-India is the law entrance exam which has holistic exam content, which means the exam tests logical and analytical abilities as well as reading comprehension, which LSAC assumes to be the essential skills and qualities needed to become a successful lawyer.

However, CLAT coaching prepares you for various topics like legal apti and mathematics which are not a part of  LSAT INDIA

Moreover, LSAT is the law school admission test for admissions to different law schools of the world.

NOW COME TO SALARY

In most cases, a corporate lawyer’s salary will start somewhere between $30,000 and $100,000 a year, depending on the size, location and financial condition of the employer. The best graduates of TOP LAW SCHOOLS can expect much higher salaries and lucrative careers right after they graduate if they have the right skill set and have performed well during their internships. The Forbes website lists several first rate programs, such as Columbia Law School, whose graduates can expect an average starting salary of $165,000.

Hey Bhargavi,

I am a fourth year student at NLSIU. My All India Rank in CLAT 2014 was 09. CLAT has a very unique structure with its GK and Legal components being very unique. Hence, past year papers are relevant to understand what kind of questions you would get in GK / Legal. Further, for example in CLAT 2014, a lot of questions from earlier individual entrance examinations of various law schools (NLSIU, NLUJ, NALSAR) had come.

That said, do realise that past year papers are only a last source of study, and not your primary material.

Hope this helped!
