I have learnt English all my life, also taught in school yet now I am a homemaker, I have left my job for 12 years but I lack confidence in learning and teaching grammar and spoken English after so many years. How to go about it. Please help

Please don't feel that you have to start learning English all over again. You already have years of experience studying and teaching it. After being away from work for 12 years, it is natural to feel a little rusty and lose confidence. Start slowly. Spend 15–20 minutes every day revising basic grammar and another 15 minutes speaking in English about your daily life. Read a little, listen to English conversations, and try explaining simple grammar topics aloud as if you are teaching a student. Don't worry about making mistakes. With regular practice, your confidence will gradually come back. You already have the foundation—you just need to bring it back through practice. read less
