I am writing to express my interest in the Program Manager / Program Lead position at Fish Welfare Initiative. With more than 12 years of experience leading fisheries programs, government development projects, farmer engagement initiatives, and large-scale community interventions, I am confident that my background aligns closely with FWI’s mission to improve aquaculture welfare in India.

My experience spans PMMSY implementation, MSSRF research projects, NFDB training programs, FFPO promotion, and multi-district field operations where I managed teams, conducted audits, ensured accurate data flow, and built strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders. I have consistently spent over 50% of my time in field environments, leading teams, implementing pilot studies, collecting ground-level data, and scaling programs based on evidence.

In addition to my field and project management experience, I have 7 years of teaching experience conducting Short-Term Certificate Courses at A.D.M. College, Nagapattinam. This role strengthened my ability to train and mentor learners, communicate technical concepts effectively, and build capacity among diverse groups of participants.

I am particularly motivated by FWI’s focus on practical, farmer-centered welfare improvements, and I believe my combination of field expertise, project management, teaching experience, and strategic decision-making makes me a strong fit for this role. I am also fully prepared to spend the required annual time at the Eluru field site.
