Retired Associate Professor & Former Head of Sociology at Mahatma Gandhi College, Kerala, with over 27 years of teaching experience across undergraduate and higher secondary levels. I specialize in Gerontology, Urban Studies, and Gender Studies, and have actively contributed to academic research, curriculum design, and university governance.
My doctoral research explored psycho-social adjustment post-retirement, and I’ve led a UGC-sponsored project on elderly adaptation in Kerala. I’ve presented papers at national and international conferences, published scholarly work, and mentored postgraduate research.
Beyond teaching, I’ve served on Kerala University’s Board of Studies for over a decade, chaired university exam panels, and contributed to curriculum development as a resource person. I’m a life member of key sociological and gerontology associations, and have held leadership roles in college committees focused on student welfare, accreditation, and women’s empowerment.
I bring a strong foundation in academic administration, student mentoring, and interdisciplinary research—with a passion for advancing inclusive and socially responsive education.
