Overview

After serving more than 28 years in a famous pharmaceutical company (Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited) in Chandigarh, Punjab in their administrative department as Asstt. Manager (Administration), I have taken voluntary retirement due to health problems.

In the IELTS Writing Task, can I write with a pencil?

Yes, you can, especially Listening and Reading because the answer sheet is scanned by a computer which cannot read pen. However, if your handwriting is good and you are very confident about your writing, then writing with a pen would be a better option in Writing component.

I was not aware that L/R/W happens on one day and speaking happens on another day.

I got the venue details for 15th and the speaking test on is happening on 19th when I am out of station. Can I just reschedule only the speaking test or I can reschedule my entire test by showing my planned travel bookings.

You do the Listening test first following by the Reading and Writing of the test. Depending on the test center, the Speaking test may be taken up to 7 days either before or after the test date.
