Music is not just a skill — it’s an experience, a form of expression, and for me, a way of life. I’m Susanna, a passionate vocal music trainer based in Thiruvananthapuram, and I specialize in teaching Western vocal music to students of all age groups. With years of singing experience and a genuine love for music, I strive to help my students find their voice, improve their vocal control, and develop a deeper connection to the songs they sing.

Though I come from an academic background in Social Work and Social Studies (M.S.W. and B.Ed.), it’s been music that has continuously given me purpose and joy. Teaching Western songs online allows me to combine that joy with a structured training approach — helping students not only sing better but also improve their English pronunciation, confidence, and vocabulary through music.

My sessions focus on voice training through scale practice, breath control, vocal warm-ups, and song interpretation. I encourage students to pick songs they love, making each class engaging and student-centered. I'm also known for being quite expressive and animated during my classes, making learning fun and interactive — especially for younger learners.

In the last year of my teaching journey, I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 17 students, many of whom are exploring Western vocals for the first time. While I currently conduct 45-minute sessions — structured and productive — I always strive to bring value to each minute of the class. My teaching philosophy is simple: inspire, support, and let students enjoy the process of learning music.

I understand that each student is different, and I aim to adjust my methods to suit individual goals and learning styles. Whether you're a beginner or just looking to get better at your favorite Western songs, my goal is to make singing feel accessible, joyful, and confidence-boosting.
