Dr Veena J.

I am a music teacher since past 15 years. I am working as an Assistant Professor on Contract at the Dept. Of Music, University of Kerala since 2017.
Have pursued my BA in music from University of Kerala. I acquired 2nd rank in MA music from University of Calicut and pursued my Ph.D (UGC-NET/JRF) from Sree Venkateswara University, Tirupati. I have been tutored in Carnatic music from my mother herself, Dr G Sujatha who retired as an Associate Professor, Dept. Of Music, Govt College for Women, Trivandrum. I have also studied under senior gurus Prof. Kumara Kerala Varma, Dr Jalaja Varma, Dr S Bhagyalakshmi and Smt. Rama Ramiah.

I have been handling music classes for students of all age groups, from small children to MA music students. I am also enthusiastic in teaching students without any age barriers, who are interested in learning music. I can help Music students to understand the theoretical aspects of music and also help them guide in music research.
