Pakhya Jyoti Saikia

I am currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Mathematics, which has helped me develop strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and a disciplined approach to learning. Alongside my academic studies, I have gained around two years of experience as a home tutor, where I have had the opportunity to work closely with students and understand their individual learning needs.

Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy and feel passionate about. My experience as a tutor has taught me that every student has a different way of understanding concepts, so I try to make learning simple, interactive, and comfortable for them. I believe one of my strongest qualities is my communication and ability to build a positive connection with students. I especially enjoy seeing students become more confident and develop an interest in subjects that they initially find difficult. Their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning motivate me to become a better teacher.

Apart from academics and teaching, I have a creative side as well. I have skills and interests in art, animation, and filmmaking, which have helped me develop creativity, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to think from different perspectives. I believe these creative skills also support my teaching because they allow me to explore new and interesting ways of explaining ideas.

I have also completed a certificate course in Data Science, which has introduced me to data-driven thinking, analytical concepts, and modern technology. As a Mathematics student, I find the combination of mathematics, data, and technology particularly interesting, and I am interested in continuing to develop my skills in these areas.

Overall, I would describe myself as a dedicated, communicative, creative, and continuously learning individual. My academic background in Mathematics, two years of teaching experience, creative skills, and knowledge of Data Science have given me a diverse skill set. Most importantly, I genuinely love teaching and interacting with students, and I find great satisfaction in helping them understand, improve, and enjoy the process of learning.
