Tableau Public is a fully functioning version of Tableau Desktop - withr a few restrictions in data sources you can use and also you can only save your workbooks to Tableau Public. Tableau Desktop is also available for free for 1 year for academic use (students and teachers). If you are a student or teacher, you can request a key directly from Tableau Software for this purpose. read less
