A music teacher by passion. I have been learning Carnatic music and Veena since childhood. Having an offline Teaching experience of 5 years, my motto is to make the music experience accessible and enjoyable to everyone.

I was an MSc. Statistics graduate from Pondicherry University by education, I have also published a research paper, "Hidden Markov modelling of frequency modulations of a singer".

To some extent, you can learn by listening to a piece of music repeatedly and trying to replicate exactly. Recording it, listening to yourself and correcting your mistakes. Vocal music is where we use our voice(vocal cords in the throat to get the output sound as sapta swaras. It is basically singing with your voice. Vocal music is where we use our voice(vocal cords in the throat to get the output sound as sapta swaras.

It is basically singing with your voice.

Where as,

In instrumental,

we use the particular instrument to get the sound of sapta swaras.

Example: Veena, a string instrument where we play swaras by stricking the string  and simultaneously pressuring the string with the other hand at various places to get different swaras.
