My teaching journey began during my college years at IIT Kanpur, where I often found myself assisting my peers with their studies. This experience ignited a passion for teaching, which I have since cultivated and refined. After completing my graduation in Chemical Engineering, I sought to combine my technical knowledge with my enthusiasm for teaching, leading to a fulfilling career in education.One of the pivotal experiences in my teaching career was my internship at INMAS DRDO Delhi. Here, I was involved in advanced research and development, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the field. This exposure not only deepened my understanding of chemical engineering principles but also highlighted the importance of clear and effective communication of complex ideas. I began to appreciate that teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but also about inspiring curiosity and fostering a problem-solving mindset.After my internship, I returned to the academic world, this time as a mentor and tutor. I started teaching science and mathematics to students up to the 10th grade and chemistry to 11th and 12th graders. My approach to teaching is centered around making the subject matter relatable and engaging. I believe that students learn best when they see the real-world applications of what they are studying. Therefore, I often incorporate practical examples and hands-on activities into my lessons.For instance, while teaching chemistry, I frequently draw upon my research experiences at INMAS to provide students with insights into how theoretical concepts are applied in cutting-edge research. This not only helps students grasp difficult concepts but also sparks their interest in pursuing scientific research themselves. Similarly, in mathematics, I emphasize problem-solving techniques and critical thinking skills, encouraging students to approach problems methodically and creatively.My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance and support. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. I also recognize that each student has a unique learning style and pace, and I tailor my teaching methods accordingly. This personalized approach has proven effective in helping students overcome their academic challenges and achieve their full potential.In addition to classroom teaching, I have also been actively involved in educational outreach programs. As a member of IIChE, I have participated in various initiatives aimed at promoting STEM education among school students. These programs have allowed me to reach a broader audience and contribute to the development of future scientists and engineers.Furthermore, my involvement in online education has expanded my reach and impact. I have created educational content for platforms like UrbanPro, where I offer tutoring services in science, mathematics, and chemistry. This experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to suit an online format and engage students effectively in a virtual environment.Overall, my teaching journey has been immensely rewarding. It has given me the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for science and mathematics with young minds, helping them develop a love for learning and achieve their academic goals. I am committed to continuing this journey, constantly improving my teaching methods, and making a positive impact on my students' educational experiences.
