I have been an investor in stock market since 2006 and trader since 2020-21 . I have got myself certified in NISM Series 8 , 21b and planning 15 also . I don't know when you asked this question but stock markets mostly all over the world usually goes up . Very rarely it comes down continuously over a long period of time . The reason is stock market and economy are two different things . Even though economy of a country may not do well , but stock markets may do well . Because stock mrkets usually always comprise of the best boys in the class . Every company of a country will not be able to get themselves listed on stock exchanges because regulators like SEBI will always put great controls checks and balances in place . Whichever company gets listed on stock markets , they usually have good track records of profitability consistency and they grow at a rate much faster than the economic growth of the country overall . So usually stock markets mostly go up as has been the case since World Wars , Great Depressions etc. read less

The stock market tends to fluctuate, rising and falling based on a variety of factors, including economic data, corporate earnings, interest rates, global events, and investor sentiment. Historically, despite periods of decline, markets generally recover and grow over the long term due to economic expansion and innovation. While it's impossible to predict with certainty when or by how much the market will go up again, it is likely that, as the economy stabilizes and grows, stock prices will rise over time. It's essential to stay informed and consider long-term investment strategies if you're looking to benefit from potential market growth. read less
