With 12 years of extensive experience in teaching mathematics, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for the subject to my students. My academic journey began with a BSc in IT, where I graduated as a gold medalist, followed by an MSc and a B.Ed., which equipped me with a solid foundation in both the subject matter and pedagogical skills.
I started my teaching career at Narayana College, where I served as a mathematics lecturer for four years. During my tenure there, I honed my ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging manner. My teaching style is interactive, encouraging students to actively participate and develop a deep understanding of the subject.
After my time at Narayana College, I transitioned to The Aga Khan Academy, where I embraced the role of a mathematics teacher for the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. This experience broadened my perspective on international education and allowed me to work with a diverse group of students. Teaching the IB curriculum has been particularly rewarding, as it emphasizes critical thinking and real-world applications of mathematics.
I have also had the privilege of coaching students for various math competitions, including the Math Olympiad, where I myself achieved a graduation rank of 503. This background in competitive mathematics allows me to provide specialized training and insights to students aspiring to excel in such challenges.
My teaching repertoire covers a wide range of curricula, including CBSE and ISC for 11th and 12th grades, as well as IGCSE and IB for grades 9 to 12. I offer both online and offline tutoring sessions, typically lasting one hour, via Google Meet. My sessions are designed to be highly interactive, incorporating worksheets and practical exercises to reinforce learning.
I believe in the importance of personalized education, tailoring my teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to instill a lifelong appreciation for mathematics.
