My professional background includes three (3) years of experience in both civil and criminal litigation in sri lanka, including my current role as a research officer at commercial high court of sri lanka, where I currently undertake the following duties and responsibilities with relating to:

• cataloguing of evidence.
• writing legal briefs that present arguments based on research findings.
• assisting the honourable judge of the commercial high court with his judgements.
• analysis of facts in case records which related to ip and other commercial matters.
• identifying relevant legal precedents and associated case laws for the use in commercial & ip legal arguments.
• following commercial and ip case laws in various legal databases.
• making briefs for court submissions.

I am currently freelancing as an online tutor for uk law students and working in the capacity of a junior lawyer at the chambers of mrs. Asika hapuarachchi aal and previously at the chambers of mr.M.C.M.Muneer aal for ten (10) months where I gained my counselling knowledge in both criminal & civil law and at abdeen associates, a renowned law firm at hulftsdorp for eight (8) months where I did undertake the following duties and responsibilities with relating to:
Assisting the senior lawyer with drafting and pleadings.
Preparation of title reports.
Training junior lawyers and apprentices.
Maintaining case files.
Assisting with case researches.
Handling of title searches and other related works at land registries.
Handling consultations with clients.
In addition, I have performed the role of a junior lawyer and as an apprentice at the chambers of mrs. Sandhya thalduwa, attorney-at-law for one (1) year including my six (6) months of apprenticeship.
My academic and professional credentials include a first class honours for final year examination 2019 at sri lanka law college, reading for master of laws in international business (uk) at cardiff metropolitan university, obtaining 2b (biology, chemistry) and 1c (physics) passes for g.C.E. Advance level examination 2015 in biological science stream and obtaining 9a (distinction) passes for g.C.E. Ordinary level examination 2012.
