Geetha M.

I was born, educated & employed by the private sector from 1988 to 2004 in Colombo. Due to many personal commitments & work load, regret, I only hold a certificate in Marketing. My employment career in the mercantile sector possess experience in quantitative & qualitative market research, sales administration cum management in the industrial packaging plus operations in advertising.

I moved to Jaffna in 2005 to discharge some family responsibilities, where I started to take on post Tsunami rehabilitation assignments that eventually developed a passion driving me to design & implement various programmes related to the pre-school children, internally displaced persons to facilitate their livelihood activities and support resettlement of female headed households of war affected in the Northern Province.

I returned to Colombo in 2014 to take care of my ailing elderly parents and was able to be a part of CARE’s national level project implementation in phasing out operations of the Country in 2016 and moved back to Jaffna with Chrysalis’ (an Affiliate of CARE) women’ entrepreneurship programme until the Country was locked down due to COVID-19 Pandemic end 2019. Since then, I am involved in online rapporteuring assignments working from home to-date.
