Yes, you can choose a software testing course. It would be easy for you to enter into the IT Industry. Later you can develop your skills into a development like java, python etc. Else you can build your skillsets of Test Engineer like Performance Testing. Mobile Testing etc.

As you are from Electrical Engg stream, I suggest Performance testing to you as for PT; programming skills are not mandatory. Automation Testing needs good Java programming skills whereas for Performance testing, necessary programming skills like if loops, for loops etc. are enough.
