How to use the below pattern in english? Could+have+been In the above pattern some times we use "been" & many times we don't use. Example: 1. It could have been better, if you were attended the party. 2. I could have gone to the party. Thanks
I think your example should read "It would have been better, if you attended the party" we use could have when there is another option, eg He could have washed the dishes, but he chose to watch tv
