My journey through college was a transformative period filled with learning, exploration, and personal growth. Pursuing a BSc Honours in Horticulture and later a Master’s in Horticulture specializing in Vegetable Science, I developed a deep understanding of plant science, crop management, and sustainable agricultural practices. During my undergraduate years, I was exposed to the fundamentals of horticulture, from soil science to plant pathology. Practical fieldwork and lab experiments allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. This hands-on approach not only strengthened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the role of horticulture in food security and environmental sustainability. In my master’s program, I specialized in Vegetable Science, where I conducted research on improving vegetable crop production, quality, and disease resistance. Engaging in research projects and presentations helped me refine my analytical and problem-solving skills. Working on scientific papers and collaborating with professors and peers enhanced my ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
