I started teaching when a friend of mine opened a proceeding school in the year 2000. I taught in this school for two years and thereafter quit to study B Ed. after my studies I again got into teaching in another school and taught there for 6 years. I quit teaching for personal issues for a period of 2 years. Now I have resumed teaching again but not in a school but as a communications trainer in a spoken English Academy. What I love about teaching is the fact that it gives me immense joy to see that my students learn to speak and write correctly. It gives them confidence and pride when they can speak without mistakes. I teach using various examples and simplify words for their better understanding and even illustrate with pictures and games to make learning fun and easy for them. I speak well and can relate to problems faced by students so my strength lies on these two aspects. I have always found English to be an interesting subject since childhood and have always done well in the subject. I love literature. Through literature I have learned a lot in terms of general knowledge as well as in strengthening my vocabulary skills. Teaching adults is not as easy as teaching children. Adults can sometimes be patronising and intimidating because they are mostly older than me.Adults are slow and they are not as obedient as young children. As a teacher I learned that teaching is a satisfying job as well as a learning process whereby I learn as I teach. As a teacher I have accomplished the status of a head teacher, I am someone who is thought of as reliable and efficient teacher who does more than what I am expected to do in order to achieve set targets.
