Lawrence Jones

I am passionate about teaching languages. I am a native English speaker and hold a DALF C1 certification in French. I studied English and French Education at the College of Education in Nigeria and later earned a bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Uyo.

I have several years of experience teaching French both online and in schools. In Nigeria, I taught French at Liberty International School (primary level) and Monef High School (secondary level), helping students discover not only the language but also the culture behind it. Alongside school teaching, I’ve guided learners online, adapting lessons to their individual goals and levels.

Currently, I am an English Language Assistant at Collège Pablo Picasso in Rouen, France, where I help students improve their English naturally while also sharing aspects of Anglophone cultures. These experiences have taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.

For me, teaching is not just about grammar and vocabulary—it’s about building confidence, curiosity, and a real love for communication. My vision is to help each learner live the language, blending conversation, culture, and creativity to make learning engaging and effective.
