I am Himanshu, a passionate teacher with a strong interest in Mathematics and a professional background in the IT industry. I have around 17 years of overall experience and hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from MMU, Mullana. Although I have spent many years working as a software engineer, teaching has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I have always believed that a good teacher can make even a subject that seems difficult feel simple, logical, and approachable.
My journey with teaching Mathematics started much before I formally began tutoring. Since my school days, I have enjoyed solving mathematical problems and helping friends understand concepts they found difficult. Over the years, this interest turned into a passion for helping students overcome their fear of Mathematics. I have had the opportunity to guide many students and help them develop greater confidence in their ability to understand and solve mathematical problems.
I specialize in Mathematics and Science for students from Classes 1 to 12. I teach students from Classes 6-12 and also work with younger learners from Classes 1 to 5. My classes focus on developing strong fundamentals, understanding concepts clearly, and gradually building the ability to solve questions independently. I also offer B.Tech. tuition for students who need support with their academic subjects.

My teaching approach is centred around understanding rather than memorisation. I believe that Mathematics becomes much easier when students understand the logic behind a formula, method, or solution instead of simply learning it by heart. I therefore encourage students to ask questions, try different approaches, and understand why a particular method works. I break down difficult problems into smaller steps so that students can approach them with greater clarity and confidence.

Having worked in the IT industry for around 15 years, I also bring a practical and analytical way of thinking to my teaching. My experience as a software professional has strengthened my problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical skills, all of which are highly relevant to Mathematics. I try to bring the same structured thinking into my classes and help students develop the habit of analysing a problem before attempting to solve it.

I understand that every student has a different learning pace and different areas that need attention. Some students may struggle with basic concepts, while others may understand the fundamentals but find application-based or challenging questions difficult. I take a patient and supportive approach in such situations and adapt my explanations according to the student's level. My objective is not just to complete the syllabus but to ensure that the student genuinely understands what is being taught.

I have also had the opportunity to teach students from reputed schools, including Yadavindra Public School in Mohali. Whether a student is preparing for regular school examinations, strengthening their fundamentals, or preparing for higher classes, I focus on providing consistent guidance and helping them become more comfortable with Mathematics. I believe that regular practice combined with the right guidance can make a significant difference in a student's performance.

For me, teaching is more than just a profession. It is something I have enjoyed since my own school days, and I find great satisfaction in seeing a student move from confusion or fear to confidence and clarity.
