Sugandha P.

I come from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where I completed my schooling from an ICSE school. I then pursued my graduation from the University of Delhi, followed by my post-graduation from Jamia Millia Islamia University, and completed my B.Ed. from Maharshi Dayanand University. I am CTET Paper II qualified with Social Studies as my subject. I have around three years of teaching experience, including experience with younger learners as well as school students. I began my teaching career working with young children, and after completing my B.Ed., I had the opportunity to teach Class 8 History and Social Studies at a residential Krishnamurti school. Working in a residential school was a wonderful learning experience, as it allowed me to engage with students beyond the classroom and understand their learning, interests, and individual needs more closely. I enjoy making Social Studies meaningful through stories, activities, discussions, visual learning, and real-life connections rather than relying only on memorisation. I believe students learn best when they understand the reason behind what they are learning. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, and developing curiosity about the world around them.
