After working as a consult for child and maternal division, I know this for sure that a child's mind grows fastest within the first three years and continues to grow till the age of 14, the neural connections continue to form. Based on the range of activities, correspondences, languages a child hears and tries to babble the phonemes received from the environment consciously or unconsciously.
Food also plays a significant role at this age the body of a child is always in demand for energy and nutrients, hence provide a nutrient-rich diet and a pleasant learning environment.

Depends upon a lot of factors:
1) Your previous encounters of the language.
2) Your acquaintance with similar Dravidian languages as they have share vocabulary.
3) Your surrounding, i.e. you live in a neighbourhood with Kannada speaking people, and you get to hear the language day in and day out.
4) Your will power, i.e. I used to watch a lot of movies with subtitles to understand the language, and it helped me a lot
Overall, 2-3 months is a good enough time to pick up the language.

You can adopt any of the following approaches:
1) Whiteboard teaching:- You need a good camera phone/ Camera, a microphone; a tripod stand good lighting and echo-free atmosphere and video editing software.
2) Laptop teaching via touchscreen/standard laptop- tech needed- Good working laptop, video editing software( open source or proprietary) and you are good to go.
I suggest and prefer the second option.

Online tuitions have their pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Ease and comfort of learning at home. Physical distance does not matter.
2) Adapting to the norms of digital learning tools and mediums and getting comfortable with them to be prepared in future.
3) Minimal wastage of time and high efficiency of learning.
Cons :
1) Requires high bandwidth internet connection with high data limits as video conferencing consumes a lot of internet data.
2) The steep learning curve for many who are not in touch with technology.
3) The socialising which happens at school, which helps build the relationship is missed.
4) Screen time on mobile and laptop causes fatigue and sleeplessness in extreme cases.
