I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ms. Sampurna and, based on the last six months, I would not recommend her classes. My biggest concern is the lack of structured, CBSE Class 10 Board-focused preparation. After more than six months of classes, the English syllabus has still not been completed. For a student preparing for Board examinations, this is a serious concern. The classes have largely focused on verbal discussions, with very limited homework, written practice, vocabulary building, comprehension, grammar application, and board-style answer writing. These areas require consistent practice, evaluation, and feedback, which I have not seen sufficiently. I am also concerned about the approach to study material. EduCart and All in One resources are being referred to, but there is limited personalized guidance, self-created pointers, structured notes, or targeted exercises to help the student understand and retain the concepts. Simply asking a child to study from reference books does not replace effective teaching and mentoring. Another concern is the apparent focus on regular versus substitute classes and per-class arrangements, rather than taking ownership of the student's overall learning journey and performance. I believe a teacher should continuously assess the student's gaps, provide targeted practice, monitor progress, and adapt the teaching approach accordingly. Ms. Sampurna has represented herself as a national and international-level teacher. However, based on my experience, I have not seen the expected level of structured CBSE Board preparation, particularly in vocabulary, comprehension, writing skills, and examination strategy. I have already spent approximately ₹17,000 on English classes, which makes the lack of measurable progress particularly disappointing. Feedback should be welcomed and used to improve the student's learning experience, but I have not found the approach sufficiently open to feedback. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. For Class 10 CBSE preparation, I would strongly look for a teacher who provides structured board-focused learning, regular written practice, personalized feedback, continuous assessment, and genuine ownership of the student's progress.
