I have over 23 years of teaching experience across India, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with expertise in communication, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, teamwork, leadership, time management, and professional development. My experience in medical education has provided numerous opportunities to integrate soft skills training into teaching, student mentoring, faculty development, and interactive workshops. I have actively developed my communication and public-speaking skills through my involvement with Toastmasters International, where I gained valuable experience in public speaking, speech delivery, constructive evaluation, leadership, and effective communication. This experience has strengthened my ability to train and mentor learners in presentation skills, confidence building, audience engagement, and professional communication. Throughout my academic career, I have emphasised effective communication, emotional intelligence, professional behaviour, and collaborative learning. I encourage learners to express their ideas clearly, listen actively, participate in discussions, and develop confidence in academic and professional settings. I have conducted and contributed to several faculty development workshops and webinars, training faculty members in effective presentation, engaging teaching, body language, non-verbal communication, and audience engagement. I use practical examples, interactive activities, group discussions, presentations, role-play, and constructive feedback to make training engaging and effective. My teaching and mentoring experience has also helped me guide learners in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. I emphasise time management, goal setting, self-motivation, and personal accountability to help learners become more organised, productive, and confident. Having worked with students and faculty from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, I can adapt my training methods to different learning needs. I strive to create an inclusive environment where participants feel comfortable expressing themselves, learning from mistakes, and improving their skills through practice and reflection. My approach to soft skills training is learner-centred, interactive, and practical. I believe that communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills develop through consistent practice, self-reflection, and constructive feedback. My goal is to help learners become confident communicators, effective presenters, collaborative team members, and responsible professionals equipped to succeed in academic and workplace environments.
