I am Shila M., a friendly, patient, and dedicated Mathematics tutor with experience teaching students from primary to upper-primary levels. I have been teaching for around 2 years, including 1 year of experience as a school teacher and 1 year and 6 months of experience as an online Mathematics tutor. I enjoy working with young learners and helping them develop a strong foundation in Mathematics through simple, clear, and easy-to-understand explanations.

I am CTET qualified and have completed my Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), which has helped me understand the learning needs of children and develop an effective teaching approach. I have also completed a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Institute of Pharmacy, Kalyani, and I am currently pursuing my B.Sc. in Mathematics. My academic background in both science and mathematics gives me a strong foundation for explaining concepts accurately and practically.

I primarily teach Mathematics to students from Classes 1 to 8, with a special focus on making the subject comfortable and approachable for young learners. I believe that Mathematics becomes much easier when students understand the logic behind a concept instead of simply memorising formulas or steps. Therefore, I take time to explain concepts from the basics and gradually move towards more challenging questions.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and student-focused. Every child learns differently, so I try to understand the student's current level, strengths, and areas where they need more support. I encourage students to ask questions freely and make sure their doubts are addressed before moving ahead. My aim is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident enough to participate and make mistakes while learning.

For younger students, I focus on building strong fundamentals in topics such as numbers, arithmetic, calculations, fractions, decimals, geometry, and other essential areas of Mathematics. I use simple language and relatable examples wherever possible so that students can connect what they are learning with real-life situations. I also give importance to regular practice because consistent practice helps students improve both their accuracy and confidence.

Along with Mathematics, I can also support students from Classes 1 to 5 with other subjects, with particular strength in Science and English. My background in science and my experience with school-level teaching allow me to guide students across different subjects while maintaining a structured and easy-to-follow learning process.

As an online tutor, I make my classes interactive and engaging rather than relying only on textbook explanations. I use step-by-step problem solving, practice questions, revision, and doubt-clearing sessions to help students strengthen their understanding. I also adapt the pace of my classes according to the student's learning ability so that they neither feel rushed nor left behind.

My goal as a teacher is not just to help students complete their syllabus or prepare for examinations, but to make them more confident and independent learners. I want my students to develop a positive attitude towards Mathematics and understand that even difficult questions can become manageable with the right concepts, practice, and guidance. I look forward to helping students learn, improve, and enjoy the process of learning.
