Welcome to Dhyan School of Performing Arts, a premier institute dedicated to spreading the rich heritage of Indian classical music through expert guidance, disciplined training, and soulful expression. Founded by Shruti, a nationally acclaimed vocalist, our school offers specialized training in Hindustani Vocal Music, Tabla, and Sarod.

At Dhyan School, we are proud to have a team of three accomplished trainers – a Tabla maestro with 30 years of experience, a Sarod expert with 15 years of experience, and Shruti herself, who brings over 10 years of professional teaching and performing experience in Hindustani classical music. Together, we provide a comprehensive and authentic music education to students of all age groups.

Shruti, our founder, is a highly decorated artist. She has received several prestigious awards including the Junior National Scholarship (2007) and the Senior National Scholarship (2014) from the Government of India. She won the President's Award in 2016 as the All India Radio competition winner in Thumri and Dadra, and is now a ‘B High’ graded artiste of Akashvani Kolkata. Her accolades include the Pt. Krishna Kumar Ganguly Scholarship and multiple first-place awards in competitions such as The Dover Lane Music Conference Talent Search and West Bengal State Music Academy.

Shruti has performed on national and international stages, representing Indian classical music with grace and excellence. In addition to her musical journey, she also holds an MA in Bangla Literature from Jadavpur University and completed her Masters in Music from Rabindra Bharati University in 2021 – bringing academic depth and artistic finesse to her teaching style.

At our school, we offer both online and offline classes, ensuring accessibility for students across regions. Whether it’s one-on-one mentoring or small group sessions, our classes are interactive, structured, and rich in traditional techniques with an emphasis on voice culture, tala, and raga development.

We also conduct annual assessments for our students. Those who pass receive a recognized certificate, validating their skills and progress. Our aim is not only to teach but to inspire – helping students evolve into confident performers and lifelong lovers of music.
