CapWords, or Camel Case words (because they appear bumpy) originated in C and C++ languages are were made popular in the 'hungarian notation' back in the 80s. Back then, it was referred to as 'Hungarian Notation' after Charles Simonyi, the designer of Microsoft's Word who was hired from Xerox.
