Basically this is more of software architecture problem, essentially to solve this problem you have to have a proper software architechture that suits your need. So i would suggest you to write a python api to do the database connectivity to your GUI module. That would fix the problem temporarily but for longer run you must select a proper software architecture and go about it so that you can reduce the program redundancy and amount of bugs to bash. read less
