Wilfred

I am a Guitar and Ukulele teacher with around 2 years of teaching experience. I enjoy helping students develop their musical abilities from the fundamentals and learn to play in a simple, practical, and enjoyable way. My goal is to make the learning process comfortable for beginners while also helping students who already have some experience improve their playing skills.

I have completed my Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.), but music has always been an important part of my journey. I am a multi-instrumentalist and play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, saxophone, and ukulele. I am also currently preparing for my Music Grade exams and working towards relevant music certifications.

Alongside teaching, I actively practise and perform with other musicians. I collaborate on music projects and play with a band, which gives me continuous practical exposure to different styles, techniques, and performance situations. These experiences have helped me improve my own musical skills and also understand how to make lessons more useful for students who want to learn practically.

My teaching approach is structured, practical, and student-friendly. I first understand the student's current level, musical interests, and learning goals before planning lessons. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust the pace and content according to their comfort level and progress.

I focus on building strong fundamentals before moving towards more advanced playing techniques. Depending on the student's goals, lessons can include basic music concepts, instrument familiarisation, chords, playing techniques, rhythm, practice exercises, and application through songs. I try to maintain a balance between theory and practical playing so that students can immediately apply what they learn.

I also encourage students to practise regularly and develop consistency. Learning an instrument takes time, and I believe students progress best when they practise in a structured manner and gradually build their skills. I provide guidance on technique and practice routines while encouraging students to enjoy the process of learning and discovering music.

I currently conduct offline classes and aim to create an enjoyable and supportive learning environment. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or wants to improve their existing skills, my goal is to help them build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and enjoy playing Guitar or Ukulele while progressing steadily as a musician.
