I am a professional metallurgical engineer, graduated from the IIT Bombay in 1972.
From 1973 to 1994 I served in the Indian Army as a commissioned officer. During my service I was an instructor in the College of Military Engineering and was teaching subject Material Science to the army officers undergoing degree engineering courses in the College for 3 years.
I sought premature retirement in 1994 and joined forging industry, after serving few years, in 1999, I migrated to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join Oil & Gas Industry as a specialised inspector in inspection of plants of oil & gas industry. During my tenure besides inspection major part of my work was training local as well as expatriates in inspection. My services in training were appreciated by the government authorities, it resulted in my selection to establish a training department in government community college.
I established the department, designed complete syllabus, training modules, lesson plans, laboratory experiments, examination schedules and, procured equipment.
After completion of task successfully, I left and joined as a quality consultant in a pipe manufacturing Saudi-Japan joint venture.
In 2021 due to Covid-19 outbreak, I returned lock-stock barrel to motherland.
I have an experience of teaching in the one of the premier training institutions of the Army. I also have an experience in teaching expatriates in the foreign country.
As far as additional educational qualification is concerned, I have completed Business Management Diploma from Bombay University and Master of Science from Florida University, by correspondence. Professionally I have qualified in the disciplines required for the inspection namely, Welding, Non-Destructive Testing and Pipe & Tank inspection.
Presently I am associated with the NGOs working for rejuvenation of rivers and conservation of water resources. I have keen interest in imparting knowledge and do help secondary as well as college students in the society in their studies.
