I am an freelance/independent Data Science Consultant, currently operating from India. I have completed my Master's in Computer Science from San Francisco State University, and currently working on finishing my thesis research remotely.
I have around 2+ years of research experience in data analysis on biological data sets in the Life Sciences domain, and 1.5 years of experience working as a Software Developer in the analytics unit, prior to that. I have also worked as an independent Data Science Consultant for over a year for a US based fraud detection start-up, where I was responsible for end-to-end design and implementation of classification models, and data clustering methods. This included data cleaning, building pipelines, and using SQL for querying relational databases. I have experience building statistical predictive models using random forest, decision tree classifiers and regression. Additionally, I have also worked with data dimensionality reduction and unsupervised classification using clustering algorithms such as k-means cluster analysis and hierarchical clustering. Besides biological datasets, I have experience working with textual and social media data, numeric high dimensional data, and relational databases using SQL. Also, have extensive experience working with Python and its data analysis libraries like scikit learn and graphing libraries like plotly and matplotlib, REST services, and web technologies like JavaScript, AJAX, Python Flask, and node.js. I've worked briefly with bigdata tools like Apache Hadoop, Hive, and Spark and scraping tools like Selenium.
