Since graduating from music school in 2013, Gowri has developed different acts that regularly perform original music across the country. She also produces and sings commercially for the monies, and has lent her voice to Bollywood films like Detective Byomkesh Bakshy and Trapped, as well as several television commercials.
In 2017, she was in South Korea for two months, and was fortunate to work with Powwow School of Music as a music mentor.
In October 2016, she was invited to participate in an on-the-road artist residency called Roadtrip Experience Project.
In August 2016, she was invited to participate in the first South Asian Music Residency by the Goethe Institute in Chennai, amongst 14 other artists from Asia and Europe.
She released her debut album Sad Little Shoebox in August 2012, with the studio-time she had won with Resonate Music Awards.
Gowri was a journalist for seven years (2006-2012) after which she studied music for ten months at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music. She studied bass performance, and that was her official introduction to music education.
