0Commonly, I used to ask this question in my classroom. Most of them will give the answers like:
Data means information
(or)
Information means Data
Which is correct? Are both same? Maybe...but not true.
Here is the story.
Suppose you need an Aadhaar card. What will you do? You can go to any Aadhaar, and you can get it, how? Imagine, you have been to Aadhaar, and there is a person who is issuing Aadhar card, and you were in front of that person and sitting in a chair. Now, the person will be shooting some questions to you, like :
what is your native place..?
who are your parents..?
what is your age...? etc.
then you will hit back with your answers. [Do remember you are answering facts...but not lies].
Now you were issued an Aadhar card by that person.
After a few days, you got to buy a sim card. Then you will be going to a Mobile centre where you will obtain a SIM card....but nobody will give the SIM card without Aadhaar. Now you will show your aadhaar....as proof of identity.
Did you understand Data == information..?
