Fees are a very subjective thing, and it varies drastically. The only suggestion I'd give is rather than taking money so seriously give priority to that person's knowledge and experience. That will be the most crucial thing if you're serious about it, saving a few bucks might seem a good idea in the beginning. Still, it might not end the way you want. The second thing is how much time does it take? So if you're very serious and passionate about it and you give a reasonable amount of time to it, it will take you somewhere around 4 to 6 months to be able to play quite a few things amazingly. The more you learn, the more you practice, the better you will get in it.

It depends on your goals. If you play the piano professionally, you should definitely study with a real piano. If you're in a band or play keyboards on stage, use a keyboard. Neither is "better" than the other.
For a solo pianist playing on a digital keyboard, there are many sounds - there is no way for digital pianos to record and reproduce them all. It's close But it's not the same.
When playing in a band, I can have a Hammond organ, a Wurlitzer or Rhodes electric piano, a Steinway or Yamaha grand piano, or an entire brass section at the push of a button. A piano can't do that.
Also, playing in an ensemble pushes a lot of frequencies that a piano eats into the sound, so it's not worth trying on a real piano. My keyboard has an eq built in so I can push the frequencies necessary to cut the band without increasing the volume.
For me, the piano is very good. I play over 100 shows a year. Life is hard enough :)
But if you want to learn classical music and plan to play with a real piano, a real piano will work better for you.
Never settle for better things. It's normal. Nothing is "better" than anything else. Your needs and wants decide for you..
