What things should I know about PHP to create a login page for my classmate and help them store their test results?

For login page please follow/research on these points. Login HTML and Form -> PHP script to extract post data -> PHP - DB connection -> Validate logins -> If validated create sessions -> After creating session store/CRUD records in DB (MySQL)

You need to know HTML for designing the login form, JavaScript for validations, SQL to store login data. Additional implementation of AJAX, CSS etc will make your login page more effective and interactive.

Design of page you can get from any source like dreamviewer or frontpage. Apart from this you should know some basic validation, PHP connection with MySQL,CRUD operation on Database.Also require the knowledge of how to insert and retrieve data from database using PHP script
