What is the difference between PHP running on Apache server and ReactPHP running only within terminal?

That being said, PHP in general is not very suitable for such use cases, for example Node.js or Go are usually a better choice. PHP gets installed directly on the server, it doesn’t depend on Apache or vice versa.The purpose of Apache in context with PHP is to make your PHP application available on the Internet over HTTP. You canexecute your PHP applications at any time without having installed Apache or any other web servervia CLI (terminal). If your script includes ReactPHP or not and how it makes use of it internally isn’t relevant at all when looking at how it’s being executed, via CLI or over HTTP using a web server. read less
