How do I send a JavaScript variable to PHP variable?

If you send php other page then use ajax method..

var keyword in front of variable name in javascript but in PHP no variable declaration and variable name should start with a dollar symbol infront

Sorry i thought it was difference, yes using ajax or through submitting the page through javascript
