I am a singer; I started learning music very early from my guru, Pt. Ajay Pohankar who was from the Kirana gharana in India. I can sing different songs with the correct emotions, which is possible only because of my strong classical background. I want to teach music only because I love music and want to see children learn this fantastic art. The Hindustani classical music concepts – Shruti, Swara, Alankar, Raga, Tala, Thaat and Gharana; the Hindustani Classical Genres – Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khyal, Tarana and Sadra; the Thaats and Raagas: Bilaval, Khamaj, Kafi, Asavari, Bhairav, Bhairavi, Todi, Purvi, Marwa, Kalyan, Yaman, Pilu and Khamaj etc. and Indian classical music Gharanas with their styles are all the fundamental concepts in learning the Indian classical music.
