I would want to say that the Quality of the finished product in Quilling, depends on the Weight and the texture of the paper. You can use normal paper/Scrapbook paper, but check the weight of the paper on the package. Some papers are very thin and won’t work best for quilling. You can still use them, but the rolls might not spring open as nicely.For weight of the paper, you’ll want to look for paper that is between 90 and 120 Gsm Please cut the scrapbook paper into one or two strips and try coiling them and see if it rolls well and gives the expected outcome. I havent tried quilling with the Scrapbook paper though… I usually prefer to buy the pre-cut quilled strips which makes the job easier. read less
