Social Sciences involves the study of Humans. Since human nature is dynamic and, individual differences prevail. Thus you cannot study it in a completely objective manner. Let's take an example: Acid turns blue litmus paper to red (Science). This fact will remain universal. But can we say that eating habits are widespread? Can we say that the IQ of humans is static or even global? No, we cannot. Thus anything that involves human thought, emotion or behaviour cannot be objective. There will always be some difference or scope for change. Yes, I agree that it can be confusing, but if you understand the basis and concept then everything appears to be easy.
